I went to a big rehearsal at Ellisville Baptist Church, where they are putting together a musical for the St. Louis Southern Baptist Association meeting. The musical was "Experiencing God", and they had an orchestra accompanying the choir. Wow! That musical is awesome! It's very very contemporary, and that makes this experience even more interesting. I have never played contemporary music like this. This is an awesome experience! After this, I feel like I've always been missing something in terms of my orchestra experience. This is awesome!

Woah! The assistant admission's officer from Carnegie Mellon University came to St. Louis, and I attended a nice information session. This school is awesome! I had know it as having a very good (#1 even) Computer Science program. Their program has a 4:1 teacher-student ratio! It's very very much a technology-oriented school, but it's very very strong in the Arts too. I like that. They're also the only school that has a campus-wide wireless network... use the network and internet while sitting in the cafeteria or courtyard. The environment there is awesome too! Pittsburg is a nice town, full of culture, and has a nice small-town feel, but still a cultural centre. I'm definately applying for this one.
It still eludes my understanding how people can drive without looking. There are certain people that, whem merging onto the highway, just merge. No turning signal, no glance at the mirror. And then they look shocked when they get a horn and a car suddenly jumps out and comes centimeters from their car. Again, it was also in my interest to avoid an accident, so I compensated a little, but really, this is just ridiculous.

The letter came in from the St. Louis Youth Symphony today regarding the preliminary audition last Friday. I had made it past, and now I play for the final audition Friday. The final will actually be in Powell Hall, and the ajudicators will be behind a curtain. Playing @ Powell will be so awesome!
Man, I just realized something! Now that I have a video card with TV in/out, all I need is a LVD hard drive, and I can do non-linear editing on my computer! Well, ok, that's nothing cheap, but it might actually be worth it! If this upcoming project for video club works out well, I think I'll go for it.

Man, Netscape 6 is so awesome! Pages load so fast! A couple problems I have with it... CTRL-H brings up the homepage, not the history. There is no keyboard shortcut for history. That is very depressing. Also, there is a bug with the scrolling-mice, and it crashes when I try to use it. But other than that, the sheer speed of this browser! Oh, and they also got rid of CTRL-R for reload. They better put those keyboard shortcuts back in, I love them so much!

My friend Spencer got a new car! It's a 2000 Acura Integra GS-R. Woah! It's nice, it's black and black leather interior, stick shift, and all that good stuff. Wow! Red line is 8500 rpm! That engine loves those high rpms. He took me for a spin, and tried to do some hard turns, and car skidded. Oops. From what I've seen so far, it doens't seem to handle any better than my Outback Sport... but still a nice fun car that revs 8500 rpm! Owell, this thing is highly modifiable!
Well, a coworker of mine at Ask Jeeves threw a Fight Club DVD viewing party tonight, and that was awesome. DVDs are tight! It's the movie enthusiast's dream! It's got all these different audio tracks, like one with the movie and it's commentary by the actors, commentary by the producer, etc. etc. That's awesome! And this movie had THX too. Ok, the movie itself was awesome! Highly, highly entertaining, in terms of the story-line. I can't explain why I loved it, but I did! The fighting and the gore was, yes, very intense, but if you look beyond it there's a lot that's really deep about it.
