Wow! We had a real Knight come in to church tonight for a special men/boy's dinner. He actually took the traditional, 800-year-old oath of the Knight! Cool! He said that there are only about 25 real knights left in the United States, but throughout history, since the midieval times, there have always been knights. Cool!

Woah! I found my diary/journal from 1994! I started writing it in when I found out I was moving from Poplar Bluff to St. Louis, and I actually wrote about moving. But I stopped before school started, dissapointingly. I'm going to type them all up, though, word for word, exactly, just for fun.
Wow, Sprint PCS is so cheap now! I can get a $19.95 a month deal that'll get me 20 free minutes any time, and $.39 a minute, and includes voicemail, numeric paging, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting, 3-way calling, and Spring PCS Wireless Web (!!!) I could get email and basic web on my phone! And for $29.95, I could get the same deal but with 180 free minutes, and $.35 a minute. Wow!

I watched Monty Python and The Quest for the Holy Grail today. I think I'm the only guy in the entire planet that hasn't seen it. It's utterly hilarious. The parody on medieval lifestyle is just amazing. "Look you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left!" "Yes I have!" "Look!" "It's just a flesh wound!"

Well, so I drove by yesterday's crash site, and there were the biggest pair of skid marks on the shoulder, and where the shoulder ended, a pair of deep mud tracks into the ditch. Wow. I got a photo of my dirty car after being driven out of the ditch, and one of the minor frontal damage to the car.
Strolling had arranged a month ago to get the spotlight for the "Show Me St. Louis" show on KSDK Channel Five this afternoon, and suddenly, this morning, they call and said that they want us out of the show. They had "accidentaly" booked a guitarist in, and they "didn't want too many music groups playing". They told us that we were not to bring instruments, and we wouldn't play. The last time we played for the show, we got 15 minutes of feature time and interviews and stuff. Well, this time we go... 2 seconds, maybe? Oh, and we got to talk about our fundraiser. How about printing the phone number on the screen? They printed all the other groups that were there's phone numbers, but not us. Basically, they kicked us out. I wasted my entire afternoon for a bunch of silly nonsense outside on 104° weather for this crap. If we were to just show up for the Window on St. Louis morning show, without any prior notice, we'd get more time and attention. We had our event booked for a month. This other guitarist guy was put on the schedule like last week. I have nothing against the guitarist, he was really good, but somebody on the stupid TV station messed up. Somebody screwed up and is not taking any responsiblity for it. This does not represent Channel Five well at all.

I crashed the car today. I was going southbound on I-170 in the rain, nearing the end of the highway, and the traffic suddenly stopped, a lot sooner than usual, and very suddenly. Well, the instant I saw that, I knew I was in for some really bad trouble. It was raining hard, and this was going to be bad. I slowed down as much as I could, pumping the brakes to do some cadence braking, and then got ready to drive into the ditch beside the road, cause there was no way I could stop in time. Well, I drove into the ditch, also having to maneuver around a TCB, passing up like 5 cars, since the ditch was so insanely slippery. Ok, so I didn't hit anybody. I got out, inspected the tyres to make sure they weren't blown, and had lots of fun getting out of the ditch. It was pretty cool, blowing wet mud all over the place, inching up the ditch slowly. Well, I Was halfway up when the tyres overheated. They started smoking. So I let it rest a little, and then a cargo truck with a couple strong guys puilled over, and offered to push. Ok. So with a little shove, I got back onto pavement in 4 seconds. So that's cool. I inspected the damages later. The tyre pressures went down on my right tyres, but that was probably due to the impact. The right side of the air dam that was already falling off broke off mostly, so I took it all the way off, since it'd be bad if I ran over it @ 70 mph or something. Otherwise, everything is OK.
Woah! It's The Great Handling Debate! Ok, after this, I'm staying pretty loyal to AWD.

Well, I returned that Delta CD-ROM. I was talking to the manager, and when I told him what happened, he said "Oh SHIT." Yes, that's the way to describe it.
Another fun rainy day! I think this one, you've gotta be there to be funny, but I was driving, and it had stopped raining. However, there were still big puddles of water on the pavement. Well, I was driving, and approached a car coming the opposite direction. I hit a water puddle just as he passed, and I happened to glance @ him, and he had his window rolled down! I saw the most frightened look on a person's face I'd ever seen in my life, and a big wave of water spulch in through his window! The hilarious thing was the expression on his face! Never had I seen such an expression of terror, as water came tumbling into his car. I feel really bad about it, but I can't anticipate people with rolled down windows on rainy days and time them properly with water puddles, it's not like I did it on purpose.

I played a solo during the Offertory today @ church, it was something our church music director pulled for me to play, "Jesus is the Song". It was a nice simple, but beautiful tune.
Woah, after thumping around in the car a few days, that Delta CD-ROM closes again, so I decided to put it back into the computer to see if it still works. Well, in spite of there being pieces of CD still stuck in there somewhere, it does. Cool! Owell, enough playing, I'll return this trash tomorrow.
