Well, today I decided to watch Walker, Texas Ranger, upon hearing that it was going to be a good episode. I was pleased! Hot cars! It started out with a car-theft deal, there was a Ferrari 512, 550 Maranello, Dodge Viper, Porsche 911, all that good stuff. And later on, a nice shiny black F355 convertible that they had a shoot-out scene around. Sweet. And a lot of the episode was computer warfare too. Nice. And a Learjet. This is my kinda epsiode, you bet.

School orchestra went to Madison County, IL today to give a couple elementary schools some music education. It was pretty cool, just like last year. Kids loved it, we let them try out all the instruments and stuff. I even heard that some kids practiced holding violins with boxes just to prepare for today. And they learned terms like "pizzicato". "Did you see him playing the solo part? That's called Jey". Now a running inside joke.

I had OfficeDepot ship the OPC cartridge for our TI Microlaser printer... the guy at the warehouse picked up the Developer's cartridge instead. Argh! Owell.

I've been putzing around with SimCity 3000 Unlimited lately, and it's pretty cool. I liked SimCity 2000 a lot, but there were quite a few flaws that made the game quite annoying. It seems SimCity3000 has solved a lot of those flaws, and it's much more realistic. The way power lines and water is managed, especially, has improved. And the interface is very nice, reminiscent of Transport Tycoon a little, which is awesome. I still have to play with the traffic systems, but it appears they fixed that too. Wow, this thing makes SimCity2000 look like a defective product, which, probably is, I just learned to live with it.

Wow! U-Reach is so cool! I get a free toll-free number with voicemail, remote fax, and e-mail storage. I can check e-mail through a regular phone, and it'll read me the email using the computer speech technology! This thing is awesome. Click on the link that I put, and if you sign up, you can get me free minutes.

Our school hosted the annual Special Olympics today, and I got to use a Panasonic DV1000 MiniDV camera. Wow! It's so cool! It has 3CCDs, and in some ways superior to the 1995 Sony DCR-VX1000 that we use at work. It uses 1/3" CCDs, as opposed to the much smaller ones in digital video cameras nowadays. Well, the DV1000 just looks professional, with all rugged design and stuff. The controls were so amazingly natural! And if you dropped the camera down from shooting, it senses the change in orientation, and goes into powersave automatically! And when I bring the camera back up, it turns on again! Woah! They should incorporate this into all cameras! This model didn't have image stabilization though, but for a MiniDV camera made in 1997, you can't really complain. There's also no Firewire, I think Sony controlled the Firewire patent or something back then. The viewfinder! It's so big! Forget all the useless flip-out LCD screens of the cameras nowadays, I'd rather have this tight viewfinder! I can be about a foot away from it, and I can see it, or, for intense shots, I can put my eye right up to it and get the whole thing! Another grip I have is that it's not very sensitive to light... the Canon DV seemed better at that. The Sony is worst in terms of lighting though. I love this camera! I can care less about Firewire, we have a MiniDV deck at school anyways. Apparantly, the image stabilization was an optional feature that we didn't get. Owell, at $2500, I don't think they wanted to spend any more.

The Backstreet Boys released a new video today, revealing some interesting things about their orientation...
16 of us from the Missouri ARML team got together today to write up the November 2000 ARML Power Contest. It was a really cool problem about Slides, Rolls and Rolides. Team orgazation was a little in lacking today, but owell, it was very very fun.
BTW, If you can read this, you must be a Republican. (voting joke)
