There was some rain today, not too serious of a storm, but a moderate shower of rain today. It's the first time I actually took a proper spin on urban interstate in this kind of weather. Wow! It's suicide! What seems to be the safest road now has become hell. There is so much backspray from 10 lanes of morning rush-hour traffic, that visibility is only 2 car lengths. In fact, when I was on the right-most lane on I270, I couldn't see the cars on the left-most lanes! And you see about two sets of tail lights, one kinda there, one kinda faint, and the rest dissapears into the fog. What's worse, people react differently to this. Some people slow to a 40 mph crawl, while others continue driving 70 mph like they do every day. This speed differentiation makes things even more dangerous. It's so fun! But it's almost like suicide, which makes it even more fun.
Then there was I64! It was flooded! Hydroplaning city, baby. What was cool, is, in the left lane, you get SPLASH, not just spray, from opposing traffic, creating ZERO visibility, since you've got 1 inch of water sprayed on your winshield every second. And you're also spraying others, cause the highway is flooded. Now that is some fun stuff. I love the rain.

I think my CD burner is dying, like, it's making ridiculous brushing and banging noises when reading CDs, any CDs, like, new CDs, audio, etc. And it is starting to reject just random CD-Rs in terms of burning. I called up Ricoh, and they were very very friendly about it, they didn't ask much, just handed me an RMA number, and said they'd repair it. So I sent it off, and I'm lacking a CD burner (and a CD-ROM, for that matter), for a few weeks.
Wow, Jefferson Avenue was gravel today, they are repaving it. It's pretty darn cool, cause it's 7 lanes of traffic with no lane markings, and dirt flying everywhere.

Man, Gatecrasher is awesome. I've made copies of the CDs that Nabil brought, both Gatecrasher CDs. I think I definitely like Trance.
They finally announced that they are widening the entire length of I70 to 3/3 minimum. It's about time. I70 is sooo busy at all times, in the rural areas.

An Air France Concorde supersonic jet crashed today. Woah, all 109 on board were killed, plus 4 on the ground, cause it crashed into a hotel. Wow, supposedly, the engine caught on fire, and it just shot into flames on takeoff. See the wreckage, you can't recognize it anymore. That airplane is getting old, it's under so much stress flying that fast. I heard somewhere that it is 2 feet longer when flying then on the ground due to the immense amounts of friction. Interesting, yesterday British Airways found cracks in the wings of one of their Concordes. Currently, BA runs 7 Concordes, and Air France runs 6, until this one crashed, course, now, they all grounded their Concordes.
Went to Taco Bell downtown for lunch. Man, their drive-thru has more security than a bank! Like, they had the 2" thick metal revolving window-unit to deliver the food and change to you, so you never have the slightest contact with the personel.

Woah! My ISP, Primary Network, got bought out by Mpower Communications on June 24th. Woah! Talk about this has been going on since April, it seems. Woah.
Woah, the Disk Defragmenting in Windows 2000 is really neat. It knows how often you use files, and doesn't bother defraging files that are used once a year, especially ones that are 19MB large! (Such as the Netscape 4.7 installer!) Very efficient. And the reports are very very thorough.

Nabil left tonight, dang, the airport is pretty darn busy on Sunday night. Must be the end-of-the-weekend rush. Well, I've thoroughly enjoyed Nabil's visit, I mean, he did help me write in my webpage. Maybe it's time for me to visit England.
