Most of tle coasters weren't too good, and even the Bolliger and Mabillard inverted ride -- Batman -- wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped. Yes, it had the expected traits of incredible smoothness -- but it just lacked that spark of excitement.
But The Boss, a new wooden coaster, was AWESOME! I was skaking in my seat! Man, that ride was soooo much fun! Airtime! Woah, I found out it's built by Custom Coasters, Inc.! I KNEW it! WOAH.
OK, bought a portable CD player from Best Buy, Panasonic. It's the same
one as Jey bought a while ago. I don't know why I bought it, a few
minutes later l found a nice Sony for the same price. Oh well, it will
do on the move, and I have my own headphones rather than the cheap
rubbish supplied with it. But the thing is just so quiet! And it would
use a balance control. Jey said something about the FCC limiting the
output of personal devices. Oh well, better than NOTHING for that boring
flight home. Oh, and reading the manual it says that it uses digital
compression (I guess data reduction) if you turn on the 40 second buffer!
Oh well, I don't suppose the difference is audible when, say, running.
We went Bowling again, but I won't mention the result as Jey won. AGAIN!
We did a couple other things that probably aren't worthy of mention. Oh,
we stopped at some AMF bowling centre before going to another one,
because Jey said that it smelt of something. It looked kinda bad, too,
it has to be said. Oh well.
Finally, we ate dinner at Olive Garden, not at all bad, though I guess
hardly authentic stuff.

Oh well, some of the new sprawl is interesting, seems kinda pointless people moving out that far just to buy a cheapo duplex that will probably fall down in 10 years. Or maybe not, 'cause, land REDEVELOPED.
Jey bought a new case for the Handspring Visor for $30, it says Palm IIIc on the outside, it's leather and has a nice clip on it. Not bad at all, though Jey seems to be regretting the purchase already.

We went to the YMCA today for a workout. It wasn't too bad, some of the machines were like 70s, but it was free for me, so I'm not complaining! Jey turned out to be a total weed; he couldn't lift more than 55lb on the bench press!! Omnimax was next at the St. Louis Science Center, they had Thrill Ride! The audio system there is pretty impressive, the visual less so as the dome screen, whilst filling one's entire view nicely, creates huge convergence problems. Oh well, the movie turned out to be a pile of crud; I was expecting something about rollercoasters, but instead most of it was devoted to roller coaster simulator rides and the like. And to top it all off, I had a sort of motion sickness by the end and a huge headache!
