I went to an all-day clinic for the All-Suburban High School Orchestra at Lindbergh High School. We rehearsed from 9:00 to 16:00 and had a concert that night. We played the Don Quixote Suite by Telemann, and a really cool Variantions on a Theme by Frescobaldi by Alexandre Tansman. We also played Bartok's Rumanian Folk Dances.

I went to the All-Suburban High School Orchestra rehearsal tonight at Lindbergh High School. It was a long one, from 17:00 to 21:00. Our director this year is Dr. Robert Gillespie, and he's pretty good.

I took my violin bow to get it rehaired at St. Louis Strings. The person there was really nice, he let me borrow a bow while it is getting done.

I took my car, 1987 Chevy Cavalier RS station wagon, in to get an estimate on the flex plate in the starter. The teeth on some parts of that plate are worn down. Well, turns out, one would have to dismantle the transmission housing to access it, as well as tne starter, and all that is located above the suspension system. That's a long, expensive job ($574.86), so I decided to forget it. I'll just crank a couple extra times when it's raining.

My Epson Sylus Photo 750 came in today. It's really really cool. The design looks really cool. It's really darn fast, and the quality is amazing.

My online friend from London sent me back this photo of a speed limits sign we encountered at Castlewood State Park on New Year's Day. Has a nice picture of a Volvo in it too.

Wow, the OCR software that came with my Epson Perfection 636U is totally awesome! It's so incredible accurate! It even scans handwriting, if you write neatly. The software is called Presto! PageManager. Ok, the interface is a little newbish oriented, but hey, it does the job nicely.
