Spent all afternoon today working on the election project for AP U.S. Government and Politics with my study partner. It's an interesting project.

I went to a workshop the Symphony Music School had today about auditioning. It was really interesting, we had the principal bassist from the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, also in charge of their auditions, to come speak to us.

Oh wow, Italdesign has this totally awesome concept car, the Scighera. Ok, the engine is not the best for its league, but that doesn't matter. I mean, it's not a snail, it does have 400bhp with twin turbo. And it's light, so that works out, top speed around 186 mph realistically, they say 200+ though.
I love the neat little styling things they did, like half gull-wing and half swing out doors, and the mid engine layout but the front has nice trunk space still, the glass covering in the back, etc. The interior is insane, looks awesome too. And it has an AWD drivetrain and a 6-speed! Expected for that class I guess. Wow, the two little "spoilers" mounted on the front "grille" are electronically retractable, and do advanced air channeling. Woah.

So I finally get in the phone lines of a computer vendor, Accubyte. Their phones have been either busy or on permanent hold for two weeks now. And now they say that they have been extremely busy lately. Ummmm, ok. No more ordering stuff from them. I ordered my Epson Stylus Photo 750 from this other place, Compuamerica, and they told me they shipped it out on December 13th, and now they tell me they are on a really long backorder. Argh!

Someone called in a bomb threat to our school today, so we had to evacuate the school at about 1330. They secured the gymnasium while we waited outside, and then we all sat in there as the process of dismissing everyone early was gone through. Turns out there really wasn't anything, but that made today kind of interesting.

My online friend from England left today. We had such a great time, and it was nice of him to go out of his way for the Y2k new year's celebration to come visit us.
I uploaded the new Ladue Horton Watkins High School website today, it's kind of done, it needs more pictures once I get around to getting photos of places where people are actually there; I couldn't do that over winter break, as most of the school was locked up and noone was there.
Surfing around, I found some really insane imaging devices on Monitor Outlet.com. Here's an insane projector. 2300 Lumens. That's like... a sun! Power consumption 650watts. List price $23999.00? You can get a car. Or how about a Plasma display? 50" 16:9 aspect ratio. 50 inches. List price $22995.00. That thing is insane.

Ok, that's it, I finally admit that I am really really skinny. I shopped all over St. Louis for a dress suit that fit me, and it took all last night and this afternoon. I'm supposed to wear a 37-Long size sport jacket. Get that. Those don't exist, there was only one 38-Long in the entire city, and the pants that went with it were waist 32, which was too big. They said I should have a waist of about 29.5. Ok, that can't be easy to find either. Well, we ended up going to a nice shop, Jo.S.A. Bank clothes off of US67, right next to where I live. And they had what I wanted, cause they sold seperates, and were able to manipulate a 40-Long and 31-waist pants to fit me. Wow, the solution was so close to home all along. And it wasn't very expensive at all either.
