The Strolling Strings did another show today for a wedding reception in Forest Park. Wow, the pavilian area is beautiful. We set up the sound system and stuff for this big 380 guest wedding's cocktail hour.

Mrs. Percival, a former Orchestra teacher at my school, and director of the Strolling Strings, invited me to substitute for a violinist at her church. Tonight we rehearsed. It's really fun to play in an ensemble like this.

We had another Ladue Strolling Strings rehearsal today. We are preparing for lots of upcoming performances this year. There will be performances on the 10th, 11th, 13th, and 15th of September. We also did a little rearranging tonight of certain tasks now that the old seniors are gone and we have new people and new leaders. I am now the lead first violinist, being in the centre of our strolling patterns and doing other various leading, such as special solo parts and coordinating the starting and stopping of the pieces we play.

I didn't do much today except study for my Calculus III class at Washington University. It was a beautiful day outside, though, nice and cool, and not a cloud to be seen.

I drove our GMC conversion Van, 3/4 ton with a 5.7L V8 today. It was pretty fun, the experience of driving where you can't see the hood and being up so high and having a wierd steering ratio.
I reorganized the daily entries that I make on my website so they are easier to navigate through. A new feature that I have added now are monthly and weekly highlights. Click on the month in the menu up near the top and that page will give you the monthly highlights list the entries organized by weeks with a weekly summary description.
