I found a decent VRML plug-in for Netscape and MSIE. Download Cortona VRML Client 2.0 here. It works really well, it allows navigation through worlds as well as interaction. It even supports OpenGL and Direct3D for fast rendering.
I was messing around with VRML, and everything is like half done and half working right now, but I got one thing I can post up and show you. Here I have a house with a garage and a 1980s Chevy Blazer pulling in. Ok, it does a little unrealistic sliding, but I'll fix that eventually.

I spent some time today messing around with 3D computer graphics. It's so cool. I've learned the basics of VRML. It's so much easier once you get into it. I will download a decent plug-in tonight and see how it runs on a browser and probably upload some of the stuff I played with soon. Now that I'm experimenting with 3D stuff, I'm really addicted to graphic design. I definately will explore graphic design a lot in college, I've gotta find one that has a decent art school.

The Audi S4 is a really nice sports sedan. $37900 gets you a lot. You get a full sized alloy spare wheel! Wow! 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. Woah! Top speed 143 mph. Twin turbo 2.7 V6, 250 bhp 30 valves. They put one turbo for each bank of cylinders, so there is no turbo lag. Wow. 6 speed manual transmission with syncronized reverse, Quattro AWD, sport suspension, 17" alloys, side impact air bags, HP2 2-piston front brakes, dual intercoolers, torque sensing and electronic locking differential,
10-way power seats, comprehensive interior lighting. Fully automatic climate control; it senses the intensity of the sun and adjust accordinly. Nifty. Trip computer with AutoCheck system monitor, anti-theft, fog lamps, power everything, heated mirrors, leather, xenon headlights, navigation system. 258 lb/sq ft of torque. All the way from 1850 to 3600 rpm. Forget the BMW M3. Those two pictures to the side are clickable, btw. Oh, and the exterior? It's almost the same as the A4, and that is not a bad thing.
The Honda CRX is the car with the most different modifications available. Dang, this baby is one heck of a modification. Click on the image for the big picture.

I'm building a computer for a friend right now, pretty top-of-the line. It's a K7-550Mhz Athlon, 128MB RAM, DVD, IBM 27GB 7200rpm 2MB cache hard drive, Diamond Viper V770 32MB SDRAM 300Mhz RAMDAC 4X AGP with a Riva TNT2 chipset and onboard MPEG2 decoding, DVD drive, SB Live with 256 voices and wavetable, 19" monitor, ZIP drive, Altec Lansing Powercube speakers. Some stuff like the video card and sound card came in today, the hard drive came yesterday.

Our school orchestra went to a couple Madison County elementary schools today. Those schools have no real instrumental program, so we got invited to give them a little music education. We played a little as an orchestra, and then went around to the individual classrooms to answer questions and let them try instruments and stuff. I was so great seeing the little kids have so much fun and be so excited about something like this. At one school, we had an entire class all over us for autographs while we were leaving.

I went to reherasal today, got home at 1830, and decided to take today to practice. I'm currently working on the piece Symphonie espagnole by Édouard Lalo. I really like the piece.
