This afternoon, Ricky, Mason, Paige, Beth, Andrea, Amie, Hannah, and I went places (not all of us @ one time, Paige and Beth joined us alittle later, and Hannah had to leave early)... like wandering around central Clayton. We had Subway, and then went to World News. I bought this month's EVO, it seems to have tons on the New Impreza.

8:45 - Gotta go run some errands... get coffee (and as a bonus, deliver coffee to Beth) turn in some books into school, and having a final conference with Ms. Noland.
9:15 - Grrr, can't find my books in my locker, ok, screw books, I'll just pay for them later if I still can't find them, this is going to have to go on hold. Conferencing with Ms. Noland now.
9:55 - Gotta make some final phone calls... tell Amie I can't take her to the ITEC conference, tell Hannah when I'm picking her up tonight, call some clients, and then unplugging the phone
10:11 - officially starting my lock-in, I've got Doritos, coffee, a sandwich, a bunch of Fresca (no time to pick up Ginger Ale), all my CDs...
10:55 - finished my Venti-sized White Chocholate Mocha from Starbucks... must plug the phone back in to access britannica.com, but I am definitely leaving an away message up on AOL IM.
12:00 - opened the 13.5oz bag of Doritos
16:05 - I can't take this anymore, I think the lock-in is over. I only have a couple of sentences and proofreading left.
17:10 - Ok, I am brain dead, good thing I can get away and go to a stroll. We strolled at the Living World in the St. Louis Zoo. It was a fairly large crowd with tables upstairs too. I thought it went well, it was just Nicole and I on first, but we got Chris Robinson to come in too, so that's cool. Ugh, some of those people there tonight were quite drunk. Anyways. there was a gigantic water puddle in front of the Living World, I waved through it 4 times tonight, it was totally awesome! I love driving through water puddles!
21:50 - Ok, I'm back. I think I have a plan. I will pull an all-nighter! Just for fun. I'll write my papers first, and hopefully finish before sunrise, and then spend the rest of the time watching movies! I'll let you know how ot goes tomorrow morning.

I went to the Ladue Percussion Concert tonight, and it was such an impressive night. My brother played in the Reed Elementary percussion ensemble, on percussion instruments, and also piano for a piece. He's so fortunate to be in a music program like Reed's. The Jr. High and High school groups were totally impressive. Mr. Faris is such an outstanding director. We are fortunate at Ladue to have him too! The program was filled with tons of interesting things, and 5 of the seniors even did this bizarre piece that didn't involve real percussion instruments, more like the stage floor, some drum tops, and other creative inventions. And in the end, the seniors in the group gave Mr. Faris quite a surprise of gifts and a song (You Are So Beautiful, in fact). It was unreal. Then my brother and I went to the reception.

The church had tables at a nice restaurant reserved for us, but it's depressing, I couldn't go! I had to be at the Youth Symphony dress rehearsal this afternoon at 12:30, for the concert at 15:00. The concert went pretty well, we played the first three of Dvorak's Slavonic Dances, variations on Enigma by Elgar, and Erin did a totally awesome job on the Vieuxtemps violin concerto. That violin concerto is amazing, it uses every romantic violin concerto trick known to man. It's like the mother of violin concertos, lol. You can hear familiar pieces of other famous concertos scattered through it. We played for a relatively large audience too, I don't think I've seen so many attend a Youth concert.
And I went straight from the concert back to church again, to watch a musical that my brother's children's choir performed. It was pretty cute, and I also discovered that my brother can sing really well. I'm impressed. Afterwards, I went with my family for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. So that just about wraps up this weekend for me, lots of fun.
