I went with Susan to prom. It was at the Renaissance Hotel, and it was fun. It's a time when you get to see what everyone's dad drives. Owell, that's just a minor note. The music was good, there was a live band, live singing, and a good number of nice Oldies. Much better than the other school dances.

Wow, we had the heaviest, and yet most scattered thunderstorms today. Really neato, it's about time it rained, dump all that humidity out. I ran through some huge water puddles in the back alley around the Loop, and I think water got into the engine compartment of the Cavalier. The belt that drove the hydraulics, like, power steering, power brakes, slipped, because it got excessively wet, and the engine was spinning kinda fast, so, when I got out of the alley to make a turn, I found that I couldn't without a huge effort, and the "Low Voltage" light came on. Alternator belt must have slipped too, or they use the same belt or something. Owell, just stopping the car and letting the belts slip back in again solved that problem.
Our final concert for the Young People's Symphonic Orchestra was tonight. We played four movements from A. Copland's "Rodeo", including Hoe Down, which was very fun.

Yikes! Time to get a tux for prom, it's this weekend. Ok, wait, I have a tux, time to just get a vest. I went to the Galleria. Desmonds told me to forget it, it's too late, but Gingiss had something. So that's good.
Man those pretzels smelled good. There was this pretzel shop by Gingiss. I thought, "argh, what the heck, I'll get some". Garlic. Yummy. Ruined my dinner though.

Ok, so the University City Munincipal Judge heard my case today on that traffic ticket. I've lost all respect for munincipal government. He said he couldn't believe a word I said, being only 16, and that he had to go by what the cop said. Well, ok, I might understand that to some extent, I mean, someone has got to protect the cop's word somewhere. Maybe they shouldn't hire cops that don't tell the truth. Maybe that's why he wasn't even present for the court hearing. Well, he suspended the charges, seeing that I had not any record of arguing with the cop, and I just had to pay the court fees. Ok, $21. No points on lisence, no fine. 6 month probation (no tickets), ok, I can deal with that, unless they do it to me again. Owell, this entire experience really appalls me, but as long as the judge seems to believe me to some extent and suspended the charge, it's fine. I mean, what else could he do, I guess.
